1. Overview

This policy describes how Tiny Desk AI ("we") handles personal information when you use trytinydesk.video. It should be read with the Terms of Service.

2. What Data Is Involved

Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:

  • Account details such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers
  • Photos you upload and the videos rendered from them
  • Prompt-like settings, scene choices, and job status
  • Payment references from the checkout processor (not full card numbers)
  • Support messages you send us
  • Technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and approximate timestamps
  • Cookie or analytics events described below

3. Why We Use It

We use that information to:

  • Create and secure your account
  • Render, store, and deliver the clip you requested
  • Take payment, apply credits, and handle refunds or chargebacks
  • Detect abuse, enforce the Terms, and run safety checks
  • Respond to support and legal requests
  • Measure aggregate site usage and fix defects
  • Meet tax, accounting, and record-keeping duties

We do not sell your photos.

4. Photos you upload and clips made from them

The photo is processed to generate the MP4 you asked for. It may be transmitted to hosting, storage, safety, and AI video providers for that purpose. We do not build a facial-recognition template from it, and we do not use it to identify who someone is.

Upload only a photo you own or are allowed to use. Do not upload celebrities or other public figures, anyone under 18, material meant to impersonate or mislead, or personal data you have no right to share.

5. Cookies and Analytics

The site may store cookies or similar files that keep you signed in, remember preferences, and help us see which pages are used. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may limit sign-in or checkout.

When you select photos, the creator can keep a draft in your browser so the photos, roles, and settings survive sign-in, checkout, or a page refresh in the same tab. Removing a photo updates that draft, and a successful generation clears the saved draft. Drafts that have been inactive for two hours are discarded on a subsequent draft load. This local draft is separate from uploaded files and finished videos, whose retention is described below. You can also clear the site’s browser storage through your browser settings.

6. Who Receives Your Information

We share information with service providers who process it on our instructions, including:

  • Cloud hosting and storage
  • The payment processor shown at checkout
  • AI video and safety vendors required to render or screen a job
  • Email delivery for account and support messages
  • Professional advisers or authorities when the law requires it

We do not authorize those vendors to use your photo for their own advertising.

7. How Long We Keep Data

We keep information only as long as we reasonably need it to run the Service, preserve My Creations, stay secure, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory duties.

  • Account data, photos, and videos may remain while the account is open or history stays enabled.
  • Uploaded photos and finished videos may stay in your history or in storage needed to deliver them.
  • Billing records are kept as long as tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, and dispute rules require.
  • Security logs and support records are kept for a limited period tied to operational and legal need.

After we verify a deletion or closure request, eligible personal data is erased or de-identified within 30 calendar days. Encrypted backups may remain for up to 90 further days and are then overwritten in the normal backup cycle. Some records may last longer when required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, chargebacks, disputes, or defense of claims.

8. Rights You Can Exercise

Depending on where you live, the law may grant any of the following:

  • Know the categories of personal data we collect, why we use them, and who receives them
  • Access your personal data or receive a copy
  • Correct account details that are wrong or incomplete
  • Request erasure of personal data that qualifies, and closure of the account
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive certain data in a portable, machine-readable form
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave
  • Stop promotional email and still get receipts plus security alerts
  • Complain to a privacy regulator in your country or region

Making a request

Email support@trytinydesk.video from the address on the account. Use the subject Privacy Request or Account Deletion Request. Say whether you want access, correction, export, restriction, objection, closure, or deletion, and identify the account or data.

We may ask for reasonable proof of identity so we do not disclose or erase the wrong person's data. We confirm eligible requests and finish them inside 30 calendar days after they arrive. If the law allows more time because a request is complex, we will explain why and give a new date. Some profile fields can be edited directly in Settings.

Account closure still leaves billing, security, fraud, and dispute files that a statute requires, or that we must keep to defend the Service and other users.

9. Cross-Border Processing

The Service and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, transfers use safeguards such as contractual clauses, recognized adequacy mechanisms, and access controls.

10. Security Measures

Protections in place include transport encryption, limited staff access, safeguarded credentials, activity logs, and screening for abuse where that fits the workflow. Absolute security is not something an internet service can promise.

11. Minors

The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor's data was submitted, email support and we will take appropriate steps.

Pages may link to third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own. This policy does not cover them.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. The revised text will be posted here with a new date. Where the law requires notice, we will provide it.
