Terms of Service | Tiny Desk AI

Rules for Tiny Desk AI accounts, uploads, generated clips, credits, acceptable use, refunds, privacy, and liability.
Oct 10, 2026

Effective date for these terms: 13 October 2026.

1. Welcome and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover Tiny Desk AI at trytinydesk.video (the "Service"). Using the Service means you accept the Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Does

Tiny Desk AI takes 1 to 5 photos and creates an approximately 14-second vertical 9:16 MP4 of an imagined five-piece office-desk concert. The roles are seated lead, two backing singers, a close-up performer and saxophone; with fewer than 5 photos, people you added play the empty roles. The template uses an original motion clip and three shot references. Its source soundtrack is included by default; Silent omits it. The uploaded people do not record new vocals. Rendering is not free and there is no free preview. You need a signed-in account and enough credits from a pack or a subscription. Finished clips are stored in My Creations.

Tiny Desk AI is an independent fan-made AI parody tool. It is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson or The Gap Band. Their names identify the cultural reference and do not imply an official performance, partnership or endorsement. Third-party AI video providers render the clips, and your photos are sent to them for that job. Those providers, model names and capabilities can change. Unless we say otherwise, we are not affiliated with them.

Output can be incomplete, odd, or similar to another user's result. Look at each finished clip before you depend on it, post it, or send it onward.

3. Who Can Use the Service

  • You are at least 18 and able to make this kind of contract. If you act for an organization, you have authority to bind it.
  • Billing and account details you submit must be accurate and kept current.
  • You must protect your sign-in and you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access, email support@trytinydesk.video right away.

4. Your Photos, Our Platform and Ownership

You keep whatever lawful rights you have in photos you upload and in videos made from them. You are responsible for making sure uploads and later uses follow the law and respect intellectual property, privacy, publicity, and other rights. Upload only photos you own or are allowed to use. Do not upload minors, celebrities, or other public figures, and do not hold a generated clip out as real footage of those artists or of any other real person. If a network lets you label content as AI-generated, please use that label.

To render, store, and display your videos, you grant Tiny Desk AI and its vendors a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, process, and display your photos and videos. That license exists only to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and support the Service. It does not transfer ownership of your lawful content.

Software, interface, branding, documentation, and original site copy belong to Tiny Desk AI or its licensors. Except where the law allows it or we agree in writing, you may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape, or commercially exploit the Service.

5. Credits, Subscriptions, Payment, and Cancellation

  • Payment authorization: A pack or subscription purchase authorizes the checkout processor to charge the price shown, applicable taxes, and any recurring fees disclosed before you pay.
  • Credit packs and plans: Packs are one-time purchases. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew into a new period unless you turn renewal off. Interval and price are shown before payment.
  • Credits in use: Each render spends a number of credits that depends on the options you select. Purchased credits stay on the buying account and lapse according to the schedule printed on pricing or at checkout. If a render fails or a safety filter blocks it, those credits are returned automatically.
  • Cancelling: Use the subscription portal or the cancel control in pricing or account settings. Cancellation stops later renewals and usually takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • Card data: The processor named at checkout handles payment. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
  • Refunds: The Refund Policy states who qualifies and how to ask. These Terms do not reduce non-waivable consumer rights.

If a charge looks wrong, email support@trytinydesk.video before you file a payment dispute, so we can review it.

6. Prohibited Conduct

This section is the acceptable-use policy. It applies to every photo you upload, every video generated, and any attempt to bypass safeguards.

The following categories are forbidden to upload, request, generate, or assist another person in producing:

  1. Sexual content: Pornography, nudity, sexually explicit material, sexually suggestive scenes, sexual services, or fetish content. Child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of minors, and grooming or exploitation of children are forbidden with no exceptions.
  2. Violence and gore: Graphic injury, torture, glorified violence, terrorism or violent extremism, instructions for weapons of mass destruction, or material meant to threaten or enable physical harm.
  3. Hate and harassment: Attacks, dehumanization, or harassment, or calls for discrimination or violence, based on protected characteristics.
  4. Impersonation and misleading content: Non-consensual intimate imagery, misleading depictions of real people, impersonation, identity fraud, or synthetic media intended to deceive viewers about origin or authenticity. Using or animating a person’s photo without their consent is prohibited, as is uploading celebrities or public figures.
  5. Infringement and privacy violations: Material that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy, discloses confidential information, or breaks other proprietary or personal rights.
  6. Unlawful or harmful acts: Illegal content, scams, phishing, malware, promotion of regulated wrongdoing, exploitation of vulnerable people, or attempts to deceive or injure.

You also must not evade safety filters, probe or disrupt security, automate access without permission, harvest outputs in bulk, resell access without approval, or use the Service in violation of law or card-network rules.

7. Moderation, Reports, and Our Response

Uploaded photos and generated videos pass automated checks. Those checks combine keyword blocklists, safety classifiers, and moderation supplied by model providers. Automation is imperfect, so flagged or reported items may be reviewed further.

To report prohibited content, suspected impersonation, a child-safety issue, or an infringement, email support@trytinydesk.video with the subject Content Report. Include the URL or account details, describe the issue, and attach screenshots or other evidence you have. We aim to confirm receipt within three business days. Reports about child safety or a credible risk of physical harm are handled first.

Depending on severity, history, and applicable law, we may refuse a request, block or remove content, limit features, suspend or close an account, keep records, or notify authorities about suspected illegal activity. Accounts linked to child exploitation, terrorism, credible threats, fraud, or non-consensual intimate imagery may be suspended immediately. If you disagree with an enforcement decision, reply to the notice or email support with the context.

8. Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, kept, and shared. By using the Service you understand that your photo and related request data may be sent to hosting, storage, safety, and AI video providers when that is required to produce the video you asked for.

9. Availability and Modifications

We supply the Service on an as-is basis and an as-available basis. Credit prices, feature limits, and uptime can be adjusted over time. To keep the Service secure, reliable, compatible with providers, or lawful, we may change, pause, or retire parts of it. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or a particular result from a given photo.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, we disclaim express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of AI output. Do not treat model output as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

11. Liability Limits

To the extent the law allows, Tiny Desk AI, its affiliates, vendors, and personnel are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the Service. A right or liability the law forbids us to exclude still applies.

12. Suspension and Ending Access

You may stop using the Service at any time. If we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, a security issue, a legal issue, a payment issue, or a policy risk, we may limit, suspend, or end access. Requests to close an account or delete personal data are handled as the Privacy Policy describes.

13. Revisions to the Terms

We may revise these Terms as the Service, our providers, or the law changes. The new text will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Where the law requires it, we will give additional notice of material changes. Continued use once a revised version is in force counts as acceptance of that version.

14. Governing Law

The laws of the place where the operator of the Service is established govern these Terms, without removing mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Before you start a formal claim, contact us in writing so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
