The short answer: pick by the size of your group
If you want only your own people on screen, Tiny Desk AI fills all five roles from the photos you add, from one to five, and the laughing close-up is its own role, separate from the lead. Memelry, aitinydesk.video and outstandingtinydesk.app also take up to five photos; tiny-desk.org takes up to three.
The tools differ most in what happens to a seat you leave empty. With one or two photos on Tiny Desk AI, your people play several roles, so a face repeats in the band shot. If you would rather keep the original or fictional performers around a single face, Memelry, aitinydesk.video or outstandingtinydesk.app fit better.
How the five tools differ
Cast size is the biggest difference. Seats you leave empty keep the original performer on Memelry and aitinydesk.video, and become fictional band members on outstandingtinydesk.app. On tiny-desk.org, one photo plays the lead, sax and keys. On Tiny Desk AI, every one of the five roles is someone you uploaded: empty roles go to people you added.
Length runs from 6 seconds (tiny-desk.org's close-up-only option) to about 18 seconds (aitinydesk.video). Most tools keep the original sound; outstandingtinydesk.app also offers AI-generated music and six settings, from an office to a rooftop. Tiny Desk AI offers the original reference-clip sound or a silent export for adding your own sound later.
What one video costs on each tool
One finished video costs $9.90 to $9.99 on all five tools. Tiny Desk AI charges 10 credits for a 480p clip, which is exactly the $9.99 Single pack, and 22 credits at 720p. Memelry charges $9.99 per video with no account. tiny-desk.org's $9.90 pack covers one 15-second video. outstandingtinydesk.app charges $9.90 for one video. aitinydesk.video sells 10 credits for $9.99 and shows the credit total before each render.
Compare the dollar price of one finished video, not credit counts: each service defines its credits differently. None of the five offers a free render; tiny-desk.org and aitinydesk.video say there is no free trial, and Tiny Desk AI has no free render or preview.
What about a CapCut template or a face-swap app?
An editing template or a face-swap app works on an existing clip: you find the source video, swap each face by hand and keep whatever sound the clip has. That suits people who already edit video. The five tools above generate the performance from still photos in the browser instead.
How we checked
On October 29, 2026 we read each tool's public page for cast size, required photos, length, sound and price, and recorded what each page states. We did not generate paid videos on the other services, so this page does not rank output quality, speed or likeness. Tiny Desk AI runs this page; where another tool fits a job better, we say so.
